Dec. 11 (UPI) -- The Arizona Cardinals have added tackle/guard Vinston Painter to their active roster.
Arizona released wide receiver Carlton Agudosi and long snapper Justin Drescher in corresponding moves. The transactions were announced on Monday.
Painter will wear No. 78 for the Cardinals. The 6 foot 4, 318 pound offensive lineman played three games earlier this season for the Cardinals, but has spent the year spilt between the active roster and practice quad. He mostly played special teams.
Painter first joined the Cardinals' practice squad on Sept. 14. He spent preseason with the Washington Redskins. The 28-year-old entered the NFL as a sixth round pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Arizona has Jared Veldheer, Alex Boone, A.Q. Shipley, Earl Watford and John Wetzel listed as starting offensive linemen on their unofficial depth chart. Watford suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's win against the Tennessee Titans. Veldheer was dealing with an elbow injury, but will have season-ending ankle surgery and is now on injured reserve. Evan Boehm will move back to right guard and rookie Will Holden will likely play tackle.
Arizona also lost tackle D.J. Humphries and guard Mike Iupati to inured reserve this season. Shipley is the only Cardinals offensive lineman who has started every game this season.
