LOS ANGELES -- Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz left Philadelphia's game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday with a knee injury in the third quarter.

He was ruled out for remainder of the day.

Wentz, who had thrown four touchdown passes, absorbed a punishing blow when trying to run in for a score. He made it to the end zone, but a holding penalty negated the score.

Nick Foles took over in the fourth quarter for the Eagles.
