Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Olympic superstar Simone Biles tried out another sport recently, when she hit the field with the Houston Texans cheerleaders.
Biles, 20, was in Houston on Friday for the stunt. The five-time medalist posted a photo on her Instagram account, wearing the cheer team's token red boots.
"Officially ready for game day now that I got my legendary red boots," Biles wrote.
Biles was named the first honorary Houston Texans cheerleader. She was presented with the special boots Friday in Houston. Biles will also take the field with the team when they hit the sideline at 1 p.m. Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers at NRG Stadium in Houston.
Biles is a Spring, Texas native. She frequently backs the AFC South squad and even announced a pick for the franchise at the 2016 NFL Draft. She also appeared at a Texans game in November.
The Texans first announced the honor on Nov. 29. Biles will have a locker at the stadium for Sunday's game. On Nov. 27, Biles tweeted about her desire to be an NFL cheerleader.
"Honestly how fun would it be to be an NFL cheerleader," she tweeted.
Biles also responded to one of her followers who suggested that the Texans should have her at a game.
"That would be so fun!!" Biles wrote.
