Fantasy Football: Week 14 tight end rankings

Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Seattle Seahawks veteran Jimmy Graham is my No. 1 fantasy football tight end for Week 14.

Graham has had a renaissance of sorts this season. He has nine scores, including five in his last four games. He also has two games with multiple touchdowns. Graham was an absolute steal in fantasy football drafts this summer.

But there have been some other great performers at the position, which is typically thought of as a shallow pool.

Behind Graham in my Week 14 rankings, I have Zach Ertz, Travis Kelce, Evan Engram and Delanie Walker in my top five.

TOP 20 WEEK 14 RANKINGS BELOW

TOP SHELF

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce should be started every week, regardless of matchup. But this week could be one of those times where you have a distinct advantage at the position. I have Kelce ranked as my No. 3 option as he faces the Oakland Raiders, a unit allowing the fourth-most receiving yards and eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. Kelce had a great showing in Week 13, catching four passes for 94 yards and two scores. I expect another huge performance in this spot for the perennial TE1.

New York Giants rookie Evan Engram gets a more reliable quarterback this week, in Eli Manning. He should also see some more accurate throws. Last week with Geno Smith, Engram still managed 99 yards and a score on seven catches. I expect another heavy target total here against the Dallas Cowboys. Engram is my No. 4 option at the position and should be a reliable TE1 down the stretch.

SNEAKY PLAYS

Los Angeles Chargers target Hunter Henry comes in at No. 6 for me this week. Henry and the Chargers are facing the Washington Redskins, a unit allowing the third-most receiving yards, fifth-most fantasy points per game and third-most touchdowns to opposing tight ends. Henry matched his season-high with seven receptions in Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns. He makes the TE1 cut this week in a fantastic matchup.

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle has been one of those pleasant surprises this season at the position. He had an underwhelming showing in Week 13 against a tough Jacksonville Jaguars secondary, but I expect a rebound this weekend against the Buffalo Bills. This year, the Bills are allowing the fifth-most receiving yards to opposing tight ends. Doyle is my No. 8 option.

LONGSHOTS

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brace is my No. 11 option this week, putting him on the TE1 borderline. Brate pulled in two scores and 39 yards on two receptions in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers. Now he gets to face a Detroit Lions unit allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.

Week 14 Tight End Rankings.

New York Jets tight end Austin-Seferian-Jenkins has been so close to huge fantasy showings this season, only to have touchdowns consistently wiped off of the board. But he still is a big-time target in the red zone. I have ASJ ranked No. 13 this week against a struggling Denver Broncos unit. In fact, the Broncos have allowed more yards to tight ends than any team in the NFL. The Broncos have also allowed the second-most touchdowns and fantasy points per game to the position.
