Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everyone Griffen pulled up his jersey Thursday after getting a sack. His shirt revealed a special request.
Griffen wrote: "I just had a baby boy. What should we name him?"
Griffen pulled off the stunt after getting his 11th sack of the season. He got the quarterback knockdown with 12:01 left in the second quarter. His Vikings led the Detroit Lions 13-0 when he ran toward quarterback Matthew Stafford on a 1st and 10 play from the Minnesota 32-yard-line. Griffen brought down Stafford for a five yard loss. The veteran pass rusher had two tackles and a sack in the first half, leading the Vikings to a 20-10 advantage. Griffen's sack total trails only Calais Campbell and Demarcus Lawrence, who each have 11.5.
The two-time Pro Bowl selection married Tiffany Brandt in 2014.

Griffen is also a father to two other boys, Greyson and Ellis. Last year, the eight-year veteran told Vikings.com that he is teaching his young sons important life lessons.
"Not just on the football field, but off the field, too - teach them to be gentlemen," Griffen told the team website. "Tell them that with hard work and dedication, you can pretty much do anything. I just want to be an example for my kids, that no matter where you start, you can always finish strong."
