Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods will be sidelined at least the next two games with a sprained left shoulder, coach Sean McVay announced.

McVay said that Woods "probably (is) going to be out a couple weeks" on Monday, one day after the 25-year-old sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of the 24-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Woods reeled in eight receptions for 81 yards versus the Vikings and leads the team in catches (47), targets (70) and receiving yards (703) this season. He also is tied with Sammy Watkins for the team lead among receivers in touchdowns (four).

"Clearly from a production standpoint the last couple of weeks, you're losing a significant player," McVay said of Woods. "But I think what he represents, week in and week out, just by the way that he goes about his business, as well. He contributes; he plays like a complete receiver -- underneath, intermediate, down the field. That's a significant loss for us. But there are guys that we do have confidence to step up and fill that void."

Rookie Cooper Kupp (38 catches, 481 yards, three touchdowns) and Watkins (24 receptions, 408 yards) could see an uptick in the passing game for the Rams (7-3), who host the streaking New Orleans Saints (8-2) on Sunday.
