Nov. 14 (UPI) -- You can buy six average price tickets to a Jacksonville Jaguars game for less than the cost of one New England Patriots ticket.
The average price for a Jaguars ticket is $66.89 and the average price for a Patriots ticket is $409.87, according to TickPick's mid season report for 2017.
Keep in mind: Jacksonville is an average of about 20 degrees warmer than Foxborough in November and December. The Jaguars also haven't been to the playoffs since 2007.
"It also has to do with the opponents that they are playing," TickPick ticketing expert Jack Slingland said. "The better the teams coming to those stadiums the higher those prices."
Slingland also attributed the high Patriots prices to their pull of fans from a larger area.
Indianapolis Colts fans pay an average of about $75 to watch their team play at Lucas Oil Stadium, while Cleveland Browns ($88), Cincinnati Bengals ($89) and New York Jets ($98) supporters round out the group of fans paying the least amount of money for their tickets, according to the report.
Supporters of the Denver Broncos are paying an average of $312 to see the home team, followed by fans of the Atlanta Falcons ($257), Green Bay Packers ($254), Seattle Seahawks ($243) in the group of most expensive average ticket prices.
The Falcons opened the $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Aug. 26 for a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.
"Typically, when a new stadium opens up, that's able to drive some fans out," Slingland said. "With them in the Super Bowl last year, that added fuel to the fire in increasing those prices. Their prices in general are much higher. They have kind of given that value back in making concessions so cheap."
Slingland said that TickPick hasn't seen "a ton of correlation" between tickets and decreased TV viewership in the NFL.
"So what we've seen really, as we are going into Week 10 or 11, [ticket prices are] more or less in line [with previous years]. Viewership is usually pulled from Sunday night or Monday night game. A lot of that has to do with teams involved. We are seeing things similarly in line."
"Even farther back than [last season]. You are going to see more correlation dealing with teams. Over the full season, things are fairly in line."
