ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- New Orleans Saints special teams player Daniel Lasco was taken off the field by ambulance during Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills at New Era Field and taken to a local hospital.

The team announced Lasco suffered a spinal chord injury, but he has movement in his extremities.

Lasco was injured while tackling Buffalo's Brandon Tate on a kickoff return. He laid face-down on the turf for several minutes before trainers helped him onto a stretcher.

Lasco was able to move his left leg while lying on the ground and raised his right hand slightly while on the stretcher.

Coach Sean Payton and several Saints players came on the field to check on Lasco before he was wheeled into the ambulance.

Saints linebacker A.J. Klein also went to the locker room with a hamstring injury and is questionable to return.
