Nov. 10 (UPI) -- The Detroit Lions have waived injured left tackle Greg Robinson.

Detroit announced the move on Friday. The Lions signed wide receiver Bradley Marquez to the practice squad and released cornerback Adairius Barnes in corresponding moves.

Marquez entered the NFL in 2015 as an undrafted rookie free agent signing by the Los Angeles Rams. He has 16 catches for 125 yards in 30 career appearances.

Robinson, 25, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent the first three years of his career with the Rams before being traded in June. The trade sent a Lions' sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Rams in exchange for the offensive lineman. Robinson started six games this season.

He started 14 games in 2016 and 16 games in 2015.

The 6-foot-5, 332-pound lineman is playing on the final season of his four-year, $21.2 million contract. Robinson suffered an ankle injury in the Lions' 52-38 Week 6 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Former defensive lineman Brian Mihalik has been playing at left tackle in the absence of Taylor Decker. Decker, the Lions' first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, had surgery in June to repair a torn labrum. He started all 16 games in 2016 but hasn't played yet this season.

Decker has returned to practice and should be activated this week, according to NFL.com.

"Yeah, he's getting better," Lions coach Jim Caldwell told reporters Tuesday. "He's coming along and we'll see what happens. Got another week this week and we'll see where he is."

Caldwell also said that he hopes to see Decker "when he's ready," when asked if he would play in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns. The Lions and Browns kick off at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford Field.

Detroit has allowed 26 sacks this season. The Browns have the fourth-fewest sacks in the NFL.

The Lions have until 4 p.m. Saturday to add Decker to their active roster. Detroit's depth chart includes Graham Glasgow and Don Barclay at left guard, Travis Swanson at center, T.J. Lang at right guard and Rick Wagner and Emmett Cleary at right tackle.
