Nov. 10 (UPI) -- The Houston Texans have designated tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz to return from the reserve/injured list.

Houston also placed tight end Ryan Griffin on the reserve/injured list. The moves were announced on Friday.

Fiedorowicz, 26, is recovering from a concussion. He has four catches for 46 yards this season. The former third-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft had 559 yards and four touchdowns on 54 receptions last season.

Griffin, 27, was a sixth-round pick by the Texans in the 2013 NFL Draft. He also sustained a concussion. The 6-foot-6, 216-pound pass catcher has 158 yards and a touchdown on 13 catches in seven games this season.

"He's [Fiedorowicz] had a good week of practice," Texans coach Bill O'Brien told reporters Friday. "He does a great job for us on the edge and he's improved every year in the passing game. Obviously, last year, had a real good year in the passing game and it's good to have him back healthy."

O'Brien also told reporters that he thinks Fiedorowicz will "play a lot" in the Texans' Week 10 game against the Los Angeles Rams. That game kicks off at 4:05 p.m. at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

"No one wants to be on IR," Fiedorowicz told reporters. "It was a brutal eight weeks. You feel like you're kind of not part of the team. You're kind of doing stuff on your own, working out on your own. It's not something I had planned for, but my body feels good. I know a lot of guys' bodies are beat up after eight weeks of this grind of the season, but I feel good and I'm out here ready to help the team."

The Rams have allowed the fifth-fewest yards to opposing tight ends this season.

Fiedorowicz also suffered a concussion during the preseason. He signed a three-year, $21.5 million contract extension this offseason. The Texans also have Stephen Anderson on the depth chart at tight end.
