GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman left Thursday's game against the Arizona Cardinals in the third quarter with what was described as a heel injury.

After making a tackle Sherman stayed on the ground for a long time before limping off the field.

According to the NBC broadcast, Sherman appeared to mouth the words "tore my Achilles" while on the sidelines.

Sherman had been listed on the injury report with an Achilles injury for several weeks.

The team described it as a heel injury, and announced that his return is doubtful.
