Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Quarterback Jameis Winston said his hand was a 'W' before he pretended to eat it before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.

Winston completed 7-of-13 passes for 67 yards in a 30-10 loss Sunday to the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

"I want everybody to look at me," Winston told his teammates in a huddle before the contest. "I'm going to pass it to Kwon [Alexander] after I say one thing."

Winston then held up his hand and pretended to lick an invisible sauce off of his fingertips.

"That's a W. Lets eat one. Lets eat one. That's a W. How many people want to eat a W tonight? I'm gonna eat a W tonight, Kwon."

Winston started the game, despite being questionable with an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder. He played through the first half before being replaced by veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick completed 8-of-15 passes for 68 yards and a score.

Winston was also involved in a scuffle during the game. He was standing on the sideline in the third quarter when he walked up and poked New Orleans Saints defender Marshon Lattimore in the back of the head. Lattimore turned around and lightly shoved Winston, before Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans came flying in and drilled Lattimore in the back.

Tampa Bay hasn't been eating too many W's lately. The Buccaneers have now lost five consecutive contests. Tampa Bay's last win came on Oct. 1 against the New York Giants.
