Hall is expected to make his season debut in Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Hall is returning from an ACL tear in his right knee that he sustained Sept. 25, 2016. He is rejoining a secondary down to three other safeties after Stefan McClure (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Hall, 33, originally joined Washington in November 2008, signed a six-year deal in 2009 and was switched from cornerback to safety during the 2015 season.
In 101 games (95 starts) for the Redskins, Hall has intercepted 23 passes and returned three for touchdowns. He also has 382 tackles for Washington to go along with nine fumble recoveries.
In 166 regular-season games, Hall has 43 interceptions and returned five for touchdowns.
To make room for Hall on the roster, Washington waived offensive lineman Orlando Franklin. He appeared in one game for the Redskins after spending the previous two seasons with the Chargers.
