Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Running back Mack Brown is officially a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings claimed the running back off of waivers from the Washington Redskins. Minnesota also waived wide receiver Rodney Adams and center Cornelius Edison in corresponding transactions. Safety Andrew Sendejo had his suspension lifted. Minnesota announced the moves on Monday.

Adams joined the Vikings in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The wide receiver appeared in just one game this season.

Brown, 26, was an undrafted free agent signing in 2015 with the Houston Texans. Houston waived Brown before the regular season and he was signed by the Redskins a month later. Brown eventually landed with the Redskins' practice squad before signing a futures contract in January of 2016.

The 5 foot 11, 213 pound running back led the NFL with 227 yards during the 2016 preseason. He was promoted to the Redskins' active roster on Oct. 28, 2016. Brown finished last season with 82 yards and a touchdown on eight carries for the Redskins. He had 29 yards on eight carries in three appearances this season. He has 12 career NFL appearances.

The Florida product had 805 yards and four scores on 210 carries from 2010 to 2014 for the Gators.
