ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills cornerback E.J. Gaines left Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a hamstring injury and will not return.

The injury occurred when Gaines tackled Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson after a long completion that was called back due to a holding penalty.

Gaines missed the Bills' previous game before the bye week with a groin injury. The Bills acquired Gaines from the Los Angeles Rams during the preseason in a trade for wide receiver Sammy Watkins.

Shareece Wright replaced Gaines in the Bills' lineup.
