Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Aaron Rodgers' name headlines the top adds and top drops for the Week 7 waiver wire.

If you owned the Green Bay Packers quarterback in fantasy football, sorry about your luck. Luckily, there are several other options at quarterback available on the waiver wire. While Packers players took a hit from Rodgers' collarbone injury, other players stepped up this week and warranted a waiver claim.

You might also need to replace the likes of Matthew Stafford, Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins and Lamar Miller in your lineup, as the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions are serving Week 7 byes.

Here are the players I'm targeting to add on my Week 7 waiver wire and some of the players I'm willing to drop.

ALL-ADD TEAM

QB | Josh McCown; RB | Adrian Peterson, Dion Lewis, Darren McFadden; WR | Nelson Agholor, Ted Ginn, Marvin Jones; TE | Austin Hooper; D/ST | New Orleans Saints; K | Brandon McManus

HONORABLE MENTIONS

QB | Brett Hundley; RB | Alfred Morris, Orleans Darkwa, Chris Ivory; WR | Marqise Lee, Robert Woods; TE | Zach Miller; D/ST | Tennessee Titans

TOP DROPS

QB | Aaron Rodgers; RB | Andre Ellington, Jamaal Williams; WR | Jaron Brown, Randall Cobb; TE | Martellus Bennett

QUARTERBACK

Josh McCown is my top quarterback to add in Week 7, especially if you are looking to replace Deshaun Watson or Matthew Stafford during their bye week. McCown has thrown for multiple scores in back-to-back games and is coming off of his best effort of the season. The New York Jets quarterback carved up the New England Patriots on Sunday for 354 yards and two scores, while completing 66 percent of his throws. McCown is also completing 70.1 percent of his passes on the season. This week he gets a matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins haven't been terrible against opposing quarterbacks this season but I see McCown still being an adequate bye-week fill-in.

In Week 3 against the Dolphins, McCown completed 18-of-23 passes for 249 yards and a score.

RUNNING BACK

Will Ezekiel Elliott be suspended or not? It doesn't really matter for your Week 7 waiver wire. Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris should be owned in every league, purely based on the possibility of Elliott missing time. While Morris has been listed as the No. 2 running back on the depth chart, I think McFadden is better suited for the lead back role in this offense and should hold more value moving forward. One writer from the team website said that his "guess" is that McFadden will be the starter in Elliott's absence. McFadden could carve out a low-end RB1 role if that is the case. ESPN also reported that the Cowboys would like to "lean on" McFadden instead of Morris, according to CBS Sports.

The Cowboys face the San Francisco 49ers at 4:05 p.m. Sunday. San Francisco is allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. You don't see many opportunities to add a bye-week RB1 in Week 7 of the fantasy football season.

WIDE RECEIVER

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholar should also be owned in all leagues. The third-year pass catcher has 321 yards and four touchdowns on 20 receptions this season. He has also scored in consecutive games. Agholar is a WR3 in Week 7 against the Washington Redskins. I expect Carson Wentz to continue his hot streak against the Redskins. He has seven touchdowns and 526 passing yards in his last two contests and carved up Washington for 307 yards and two scores in Week 1. Agholar should benefit from another stellar performance from the ascending gunslinger.

TIGHT END

Atlanta Falcons tight end Austin Hooper can also be added if you are in a pinch at tight end. Hooper had a season-high seven receptions in Week 6 and could see a lot of looks again in Week 7 against the New England Patriots' porous defense, which gave up a score to Austin Seferian-Jenkins in Week 6. Seferian-Jenkins should have scored twice against this struggling secondary, but had one called back by a blown call from the referee.
