MINNEAPOLIS -- Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers left Sunday's game in Minnesota in the first quarter due to an injury to his collarbone.

Rodgers injured his passing shoulder after taking a hard hit from Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr. The team said his return was questionable.

Later during the game, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed via Twitter that Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone and is in danger of missing the remainder of the season.

Rodgers, rolling out to the right on a second-and-9 play from the Green Bay 39-yard line, was hit by Barr after releasing a pass that fell incomplete. The quarterback appeared to land on his throwing arm and laid on the turf for several seconds before trainers attended to him. He left the field under his own power and exchanged words with members of the Minnesota defense on his way to the sideline.

After a brief examination on the sideline, Rodgers was taken down the tunnel on a cart. He was replaced by Brett Hundley.
