Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Mike Williams declared himself ready to make his NFL debut this weekend against the host Oakland Raiders.

Coach Anthony Lynn, however, took a more cautious approach in regard to Williams, saying that he'd need to look at film from Friday's practice before making a decision.

Williams has been sidelined since May after suffering a herniated disk in his lower back during rookie minicamp. The Clemson product was listed as limited in practice Friday and is questionable on the injury report.

"I'm excited to get out there with my teammates for the first time six games in," said the 23-year-old Williams, who was the seventh overall pick of the draft. "Just to get out there is going to be a fun experience."

The Chargers (1-4) are counting on the 6-foot-4, 218-pound Williams to be an immediate contributor. He caught 98 passes for 1,361 yards and 11 touchdowns last season as a key member of the Tigers' national championship team.
