Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Tanner Gentry is joining the Chicago Bears' active roster after being called up from the practice squad.

Gentry, 22, was originally signed by the Bears in April as an undrafted rookie free agent. The Wyoming product was waived on Sept. 2 before being signed to the team's practice squad the next day. He was promoted to the active roster on Sept. 12, but waived again on Sept. 19. Gentry had two catches for 27 yards in the Bears' 29-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 18 at Raymond James Stadium.

Thompson had 35 catches for 455 yards and three touchdowns in 28 games for the Bears in the last two-plus seasons. He had nine starts and also returned 60 kickoffs for 1,442 yards.

Bradford has spent time with the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers. The Buffalo Bills released him last month. Rogers was with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason.
