Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Need help filling out your fantasy football lineup? Check out our top 20 defense/special teams and top 15 kicker rankings for Week 5.
You might have had to make a move on your waiver wire this week as four teams are on a bye week. If you have reserves at the positions on your bench, make sure those matchups are still as good as you thought they would be when you added them to your roster.
If you don't have great options, look to snatch a kicker or defense with a better matchup off of the waiver wire before it's too late.
My top defense for the week is the Minnesota Vikings and my top kicker is Dallas Cowboys veteran Dan Bailey.
Here are the rest of my top 20 defense/special teams units and top 15 kickers for Week 5. You can visit other positional rankings in the links below.
The Minnesota Vikings are my top defense for Week 5, with a matchup against the Chicago Bears. The Monday Night Football tilt is also the first start for Bears rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. I expect the Vikings defense to feast on this offense and force a few turnovers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been one of the best defenses in fantasy football this season and went undrafted in many leagues. This week the Steelers host Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars. I expect the Steelers to build a lead in this one and build on thier 15 sacks, the second-highest total in the NFL. The Steelers have also allowed the second fewest points of teams that have played four games this season.
Detroit Lions kicker Matt Prater has a matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and is my No. 2 kicker for the week. I expect plenty of scoring in this one and the Lions kicker should benefit from that production.
New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski is my No. 4 kicker for the week with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is another game that I expect to be high-scoring.
The New York Jets might not seem like a terrific defensive start in Week 5, but a matchup against the Cleveland Browns puts them in starter consideration. The Jets have allowed 21 points in the last two weeks as a fantasy football defense. Cleveland managed just seven points against the Bengals in Week 4 and I don't think this offense gets it together agains the Jets.
The Miami Dolphins are another stream-worthy unit with a game coming against the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee might be without quarterback Marcus Mariota and could start Matt Cassell. Last week, Cassell threw two interceptions and lost a fumble.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Nick Folk is my No. 5 option at the position for Week 5. I expect him to be every bit as active as Gostkowski in this shootout.
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell should net several extra points and hit a few from range against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is my No. 9 kicker for Week 5.
The Baltimore Ravens are my No. 7 defense for Week 5 because of a matchup against the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders will start E.J. Manuel Sunday in place of Derek Carr. That's great news for the Ravens defense.
The New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers are both looking for their first win of the season Sunday. I like the Giants defense in this matchup and think they are a streaming option. New York comes in as my No. 8 unit for the week.
Raiders kicker Giorgio Tavecchio is my No. 11 kicker in Week 5. I can see the Raiders stalling often against the Ravens and turning to the kicker for points in a low-scoring contest.
Ka'imi Fairbairn and the Houston Texans are facing the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. He is my No. 15 kicker in this matchup, as I can see the Texans struggling to put up touchdowns against this defense and settling for field goals frequently.
