TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of Sunday's contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was declared out for the rest of the game.

The Bucs were leading 16-10 midway through the third quarter at the time.
