Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Landon Collins and Eric Ebron have taken their Monday Night Football beef to Twitter.

The Detroit Lions tight end and New York Giants safety got in each other's faces after Ebron scored a seven-yard touchdown in the second quarter Monday in the Lions' 24-10 win.

"I was pissed off," Ebron told the Detroit News after Monday's game. "I was pissed off at that little punk of a safety they've got over there."

"Collins, he played a good game, that hit just pissed me off and I didn't feel like celebrating," Ebron said. "I wasn't in that kind of joyful mood. It was still a good game. He played his butt off trying to guard me. I commend him for that."

Collins - a 2016 All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection - clapped back at the tight end on Wednesday.

"Be a bully...still zero catches on me between those lines," he tweeted.

New England Patriots safety chimed in: "Well done."

"Lol... twitter fingers. The honey badger was better," Ebron responded, referencing Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu.

Mathieu was a third-round pick out of LSU in the 2013 NFL Draft. He was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection in 2015. Collins was a second-round pick out of Alabama in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Collins and Mathieu went at it on Twitter in August, debating who was the better safety.

In 2015, Mathieu was Pro Football Focus' No. 1 graded defensive back. Collins received a 83.2 coverage grade from the site last season, ranking 17th.
