Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Jaelen Strong is now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jacksonville claimed Strong on Tuesday. The Jaguars placed third-year defensive tackle Michael Bennett on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Bennett is deal with a pectoral muscle injury.

The Houston Texans waived Strong on Monday. The 23-year-old was a third-round pick by the Texans in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Strong had 28 receptions for 292 yards and three touchdowns in 19 games in three seasons with the Texans.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound pass catcher had 157 catches for 2,287 yards and 17 touchdowns in 26 games during his two seasons at Arizona State.

He played 20 snaps last Thursday in the Texans' 13-9 win against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Jaguars host the Baltimore Ravens at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Jacksonville currently has Marqise Lee, Allen Hurns, Keelan Cole, Arrelious Benn and Strong on its depth chart at wide receiver, following the loss of Allen Robinson for the season.

Hurns currently leads that crew with 124 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions through two games.

Jacksonville ranks No. 26 in passing offense and has completed the fewest amount of passes through two games of any NFL team (31).
