NFL teams pump out GIFs to get ready for football season

Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Official NFL Twitter accounts were busy Tuesday, posting GIFs to pump up fans for the 2017 season.

The teams that participated included: the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots.

Thursday marks the start of the 2017 NFL season. The Chiefs and Super Bowl champion Patriots have the honor of kicking off the first game of the year at 8:30 p.m. from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

There are nine games at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Colts and Los Angeles Rams battle at 4:05 p.m. Sunday. There are also two games at 4:25 p.m. Sunday. The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys have the first Sunday Night Football game of the year. The New Orleans Saints face the Minnesota Vikings and the Chargers battle the Broncos in a Monday Night Football doubleheader.

The Cardinals began the GIF bonanza on Tuesday. Arizona tweeted a GIF featuring its team running onto the field.

"Who else is ready for the season to start?" the Cardinals tweeted.

The Texans were one of the first teams to respond. Houston tweeted a GIF of superstar J.J. Watt running onto the field. Watt's Hurricane Harvey relief fund has now reached $20 million.
