Chicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith, who was carted off the field with a left knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans, reportedly suffered a torn ACL.

An MRI exam revealed Monday that Meredith has a torn ACL, a source told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. There reportedly is other damage and the 24-year-old Meredith will undergo further tests.

Meredith was carted off the field after being tackled low by Titans safety Johnathan Cyprien at the end of a 16-yard reception during the game in Nashville, Tenn.

Meredith's left leg twisted upon contact as he braced for the hit. An air cast was placed on his leg before he sat down on the cart.

"You feel bad, obviously," Bears coach John Fox said after the 19-7 win. "He's disappointed. He'll bounce back."

The 6-foot-3, 207-pound Meredith led the Bears with 66 receptions for 888 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games last season. The undrafted third-year player out of Illinois State missed part of the Bears' offseason program after tearing ligaments in his thumb.
