Standout Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens might have tore the ACL in his right knee during Saturday's preseason contest against the Oakland Raiders.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed concern that Hitchens was seriously injured and will require surgery.

"I don't want to go there," Jones told reporters in response to whether he could confirm the ACL tear. "All I know, though, is I don't like the way it sounds. They'll take a look at it again (Sunday). If it were going to put him down, it'd be an ACL tear."

Hitchens had 75 tackles last season and has 220 in his first three seasons.
