The Indianapolis Colts, seeking to add secondary depth, signed veteran free agent cornerbacks Chris Culliver and Corey White on Monday.

The 29-year-old Culliver last appeared in a game in December 2015. He has undergone two knee surgeries and was cut by the Miami Dolphins last November.

In 2014, Culliver turned in his most productive season with four interceptions and 38 solo tackles for the Washington Redskins in 14 starts.

In 52 career games and 26 starts, Culliver totaled 137 tackles (119 solo), seven interceptions, 34 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries with the Dolphins (2016), Redskins (2015) and San Francisco 49ers (2011-14). He was selected by the 49ers in the third round (80th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft out of South Carolina.

The 27-year-old White started 24 games for the Buffalo Bills in his career and had two interceptions a year ago.

He has seen action in 66 career games (24 starts) and has 151 tackles (123 solo), one sack, six interceptions, 22 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries with the Bills (2016), Arizona Cardinals (2015), Dallas Cowboys (2015) and New Orleans Saints (2012-14).

The Colts are in need of depth in the secondary, with cornerback Vontae Davis the top player. The Indianapolis defense was burned last season on the back end, finishing 27th in passing yards allowed.

Meanwhile, cornerback Darryl Morris was placed on injured reserve to make room for Culliver and White on the roster. The Colts also waived-injured guard Blake Muir, who will revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers.

Morris has played in 48 career games (three starts) and compiled 73 tackles (58 solo), 12 passes defensed and two interceptions with the Colts (2016), Houston Texans (2014-15) and 49ers (2013).

Last season, Morris played in 12 games (two starts) for Indianapolis and made 34 tackles (27 solo) and one interception.

Muir signed with the Colts as a free agent on May 15. He spent time on practice squads with the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers as a rookie in 2016.
