Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Linebacker Ryan Langford is now a member of the Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona announced the signing Friday, in addition to waiving wide receiver Marquis Bundy. Langford attended the Houston Texans' training camp and played with the franchise last preseason. He originally joined the team as an undrafted rookie free agent out of New Mexico. The Texans released Langford on August 30.

As a senior Langford had 53 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, three passes defended, two sacks and an interception in 13 games in 2015 for New Mexico. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound defender began his college career at Iowa Western, where he was an All-Midwest Football Conference selection in 2013.

Langford, 24, will wear No. 50 for Arizona. Bundy joined the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent last year. He spent most of the 2016 season on the practice squad, but was on the active roster for six games. He had five catches for 73 yards in two preseason games this year.

Langford and Bundy were former teammates at New Mexico.

The Cardinals are in need of depth at the position as Karlos Dansby deals with a leg issue. Philip Wheeler and Josh Bynes are dealing with foot and hamstring injuries, respectively. Scooby Wright, Haason Reddick, Zaviar Gooden and Tre'Von Johnson are still available at the position for Saturday's preseason bout.

Dansby joined the team in March while the Cardinals snagged Reddick with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
