Aug. 16 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Chargers have added linebacker Kyle Coleman to its roster. Los Angeles announced the signing on Tuesday. Coleman originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks in June of 2016 as an undrafted free agent. He was waived last August. He signed with the Seahawks again in May, before being waived on Aug. 8.

The Chargers waived/injured linebacker Mike Moore in a corresponding move. Moore signed with the Chargers in May. The Kansas State product was an undrafted free agent.
Coleman started 11 games during his college career at Arkansas State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. His father Monte Coleman was a Washington Redskins linebacker and coached him during his senior season. In 2013, Coleman played at linebacker, where he tallied 51 tackles and two sacks. At Pine Bluff, he had 10 receptions for 117 yards at tight end.
Los Angeles signed tight end Matt Weiser on Friday, while waiving safety Adrian McDonald.
The Chargers are in need of linebacker depth after losing 2015 second round selection Denzel Perryman to a torn ankle ligament in Sunday's preseason opener. He is expected to miss at least two months of action. Los Angeles also has Korey Toomer, Nick Dzubnar, Jatavis Brown, Nigel Harris, James Onwualu, Kyle Emanuel and Josh Perry at linebacker.
