Thomas signed with the New England Patriots on May 5 as an undrafted rookie free agent. He was waived on Aug. 11. The LSU product was college teammates with Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette. Thomas had 110 tackles, 20 passes defended, 5.5 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 41 games during his five-year college career for the Tigers.

The Patriots released Thomas to make room for defensive end Keionta Davis.

Grinnage is listed at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds. He was signed as an undrafted free agent last season by the Green Bay Packers, but was released with a settlement after suffering an injury during rookie minicamp. Grinnage had 798 yards and nine scores at North Carolina State. Johnson has eight NFL appearances, all for the Jaguars last season. He is a Purdue product.
