Seattle Seahawks rookie defensive tackle Malik McDowell reported to training camp on Thursday and was promptly placed on the non-football injury list, the team announced.

McDowell, who was a second-round selection of the 2017 draft, reportedly sustained a concussion and facial injuries in an ATV accident a couple weeks ago.

The former Michigan State star can be activated from the non-football injury list at any point during camp.

Prior to Thursday, McDowell initially had been placed on the reserve/did not report list, which meant he didn't count against the team's 90-man roster limit.
