Long snappers do not receive much publicity unless they make a mistake or get injured, and the Jacksonville Jaguars were victims of the latter.
The Jaguars announced Thursday that long snapper Carson Tinker will miss the entire season after sustaining a torn ACL in a non-contact drill on Wednesday.
Tinker, an undrafted free agent out of Alabama, has been the Jaguars' long snapper the past four seasons. He signed a four-year contract extension prior to the 2015 season.
The Jaguars will have to fill the position because Tinker was the only long snapper on their roster.
