Morgan had 12 tackles and one interception in 2016. The 29-year-old has registered 69 tackles and one interception in 71 career games since signing with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2011.

While Morgan was signed to a new contract, Seattle waived fellow linebacker Arthur Brown on Monday. The 27-year-old made just three tackles in 12 games last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
