June 30 (UPI) -- "Beast Mode" is back. He recently showed off his quick feet in a video taken by his trainer on the beach.

Lynch, 31, retired following the 2015 season. After taking a year off and being traded to his hometown team from the Seattle Seahawks, he's looking to add a new dimension to an explosive Oakland Raiders offense.

Part of that explosion this year could come from Lynch's fast first step and ability to break into the secondary. In fact, it was as recently as 2014 when Lynch set his career mark for longest rush, scampering 70 yards on one run that season.

The Raiders reposted the video, which was originally taken by speed trainer Luis Badillo Jr.

"Beastmode VS Flashmode LOL amazing workout with my guy @beastmode," Badillo wrote in an Instagram caption for the video. "Super funny guy and he made the workout hilarious."

"He's really a beast though, I had him lace up boots to make him work harder during his footwork exercises on sand. His explosive power is nuts! I would definitely not want to be in front of that train."

Badillo tagged a photo of the duo in Alameda, Calif.

In the drills, Lynch steps in and out of a ladder, jumps over several obstacles and jukes some more equipment. He even makes a one-handed catch over his shoulder during one drill.
