Free-agent wide receiver Eric Decker reached agreement with the Tennessee Titans on a one-year deal, multiple media outlets reported Sunday.

Decker lives in Nashville in the offseason with his wife, country music star Jesse James Decker, who Tweeted the news Sunday: "Happy Father's Day and CONGRATS to the new TENNESSEE @Titans player @EricDecker87 !! We love you daddy and so excited for the new chapter!!"

Decker was released by the New York Jets on Monday, and two days later he visited with Tennessee officials.

Titans coach Mike Mularkey said last week the team wanted to be sure Decker was healthy.

"We brought him in, and I talked to him this morning for about 25 minutes," Mularkey said on Wednesday, according to CBSSports.com. "I got a chance to meet him; I'd never met him. It's similar to a draft (visit), when you do the top-30 visits, it's a similar situation. You get a chance to meet them and do a physical. The whole visit was to get to know him, and make sure he is healthy."

Decker, 30, played only three games last season for the Jets before being placed on injured reserve in October. He suffered a partially torn rotator cuff early in the season, limiting him to nine receptions for 194 yards and two touchdowns in 2016. In 2015, he had 80 catches for 1,027 yards and 12 scores for New York.

Decker has undergone surgery on both his hip and his shoulder in the past nine months.

The Titans needed an established wide receiver to pair with quarterback Marcus Mariota.
