Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, was diagnosed with a sprained left foot but is expected to be ready for training camp, the team announced Saturday.

Garrett was injured during drills at Wednesday's minicamp and was diagnosed with a lateral foot sprain following an evaluation by Cleveland team physician Dr. James Voos and Dr. Robert Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist.

The Browns signed Garrett to a four-year deal worth $30.4 million.

The 6-foot-4 1/2, 272-pound Garrett registered 8.5 sacks last season at Texas A&M despite playing with a high-ankle sprain. He collected 141 tackles (47 for loss) and 31 sacks and forced seven fumbles during his three-year career with the Aggies.

During a two-minute drill at Wednesday's practice, Garrett landed awkwardly on his left foot as he was rushing quarterback Brock Osweiler.
