June 13 (UPI) -- All-Pro cornerback Aqib Talib was born in Cleveland, so it was no question who he wanted to win the NBA Finals. He let Kevin Durant know about it Monday night.

Talib trash talked the 2017 NBA Finals MVP for deciding to take his talents to the Golden State Warriors last offseason.

"Congrats @cavs! Boys gotta join forces to see us! @KingJames can bring whoever he want to the Land! Let's link up then!!! #suckachip2017," Talib tweeted.

He also sent a message to Durant, saying: "@KDTrey5 u a suburban kid!!! Link up with the best to chip!!! HOF laughing at you right now!!!"

Talib, who was ranked the No. 37 player on the NFL Network's Top 100, also took a jab at Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

"Kerr wouldn't even be a head coach without Jordan!!! #coattailboys!!!," Talib tweeted.

The Twitter trash talk was a bit hypocritical for Talib.

Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated in the 2016 Western Conference Finals by the Warriors and he decided to join the rival franchise the next season.

Talib's New England Patriots lost the 2014 AFC conference championship to the Denver Broncos. He joined the Broncos the next season and won the Super Bowl two seasons later.
