June 4 (UPI) -- Jarrius Robertson underwent a successful liver transplant in April. Drew Brees continued his support of the young New Orleans Saints fan with a big donation.

The Saints quarterback gifted Robertson $8,390 this week on his GoFundMe account. The specific dollar amount lifted Robertson's total to $30,000. The account has a goal of $40,000.

"Keep inspiring us all, JJ," Brees wrote on his donation.

Robertson, 15, was diagnosed with liver failure at six-months-old. He has battled a chronic liver disease called biliary atresia his entire life. The disease stunts growth. Robertson had the liver transplant surgery on April 30.

Brees also voiced his support for the youngster on the day of the surgery.

"Pray for @Jarrius today as he receives his liver transplant in New Orleans. Can't wait to see you running around the #Saints facility, JJ," Brees tweeted.

Robertson also recently got to hang out with Randy Moss and attend a Saints team meeting. Saints running back Mark Ingram visited him after his surgery and the duo played video games.

"Don't have a brother but met my lil bro last year pregame! We was turnt! His energy and perseverance is an inspiration! God bless," Ingram tweeted on May 20.

Former LSU safety and New York Jets draft pick Jamal Adams tweeted a support video for Robertson and also sent him a signed jersey.

"Despite his medical issues, he has always shown incredible spirit and courage with family, friends and his beloved New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers," his GoFundMe page reads.

"Jarrius' hospital visits and daily prescription medicines have increased. As energetic as JJ is, the constant checkups and appointments wear on him, as they would for any kid that just wants to have fun."

"Jarrius has always tried to live by 'it takes lives to save lives.'"

"Any donation you could provide will all go towards JJ's medical bills and make his current fight go as strong as possible."

The account has 7,300 shares and donations from 607 people in seven months.
