LaVar Ball hawking 'Stay in yo lane' T-shirts

May 25 (UPI) -- Just last week LaVar Ball was telling a TV show host to "stay in your lane." Now he's selling T-shirts with the slogan.

Ball's Big Baller Brand website added the new apparel to its inventory Wednesday. The shirts read: "Stay in yo lane" and are available in men's and women's.

They cost $60.

"By Popular Demand, Now You can give everyone some smart words to live by, without opening your mouth," the shirt's description reads on the Big Baller Brand website.

Ball's son, Lonzo Ball, made big news on May 4 when he debuted his signature shoes for $495. The former UCLA freshman is expected to be a top 3 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. But the Ball family is being a bit picky about which team Lonzo will go to, deciding to only workout from the Los Angeles Lakers despite getting offers for sessions from other teams.

As of Thursday night, Ball had denied a workout for the Boston Celtics but was considering a session for the Philadelphia 76ers, according to ESPN.

But the eldest Ball has been making the biggest waves, flooding sports media networks with his outlandish personality and comments.

One of those moments happened on May 17, paving the way for his shirt slogan. In that incident, Ball went on FS1's The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

Ball eventually revealed that at least 400 pairs of his son's shoes have sold, but he was first pressed on the numbers by co-host Kristine Leahy.

"Stay in your lane," Ball told Leahy, while refusing to turn around and look at her.

"I don't even worry about her over there. She scares me to death...leave me alone," Ball said.

Ball later called Leahy a "hater" and said that "something's coming to you [her]."

"I never disrespect women," Ball said. "But I'll tell you what, if you act like that, guess what? Something's coming to you, and it's OK."

Leahy went on the air again during Speak for Yourself to address the comments.

"You can't come at me, and disrespect me, and not look me in the eye, and threaten me. That's not OK," Leahy said.

She responded to the T-shirts with a tweet on Thursday.

"In lieu of shirts, join me in donating $50/60 or whatever you can to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. https://girlsinc.secure.force.com/pmtx/Donations ," Leahy wrote.

Girls Inc. "inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy," according to its website. "Our comprehensive approach to whole girl development equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers and grow up healthy, educated, and independent," the website states.

Girls Inc. also advocates for legislation and policies to increase opportunities for all girls.

Leahy spent some of her time Thursday retweeting her Twitter followers who donated to the cause.
