The duo will forever be linked after being traded for each other in 2015. That year, McCoy went to the Bills from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the young linebacker. On Sunday, Alonso posted a photo of himself hitting McCoy up into the air after a big tackle.
"El Blankito ojos claros #ozuna #futbolamericano #miamidolphins #yatusabes," Alonso wrote in the caption.
His post translates roughly to: "the white boy with clear eyes."
McCoy responded by saying: ""boy ya dad wish u was as good as me...n ya new contract garbage lol my 2011 money."
"take me off ya page u BUM," McCoy said.
Alonso, 26, signed a four-year, $28.8 million contract in March. The linebacker tallied 115 tackles, a forced fumble, four fumble recoveries, and two interceptions.
McCoy, 28, is playing on the third year of a five-year, $40 million pact. In 2011, McCoy made $867,530. He cashed in for more than $9.2 million in 2012.
Alonso also played for Chip Kelly for four seasons at the University of Oregon, while McCoy isn't on the best terms with the coach. After being traded by Kelly in 2015, McCoy told reporters that Kelly "got rid of all the good black players."
The Dolphins swept the season series against the AFC East rival Bills in 2016, winning 28-25 on Oct. 23 and 34-31 in overtime on Dec. 24.
