Dak Prescott, Ric Flair among voices rooting for Tony Romo

April 4 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is headed to the broadcast booth, and many sports personalities are wishing him well.

After Tuesday's announcement that the veteran quarterback was headed to CBS Sports, athletes from all sports chimed in on what they thought of Romo's big move.

"From a Fan Of Yours to Being Your Teammate: THANK YOU for The Advice On & Off the Field to Making Plays that I'll Never Forget," Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott wrote on Instagram.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott also thanked his former teammate. The Cowboys paid tribute to the gunslinger by showing his plays on a video board and putting up his No. 9 in various spots.

Wide receiver Terrance Williams also thanked Romo for their time together on the Cowboys.

Football fan Ric Flair also chimed in to the farewell bandwagon.

"Congrats to my good friend @tonyromo on an amazing career – WOOOOO," Flair tweeted.

Romo, 36, is expected to take over for fellow former quarterback and broadcast veteran Phil Simms as the network's top color commentator.
