April 3 (UPI) -- With the wardrobe of a fashionista and a son named Chosen, you knew Cam Newton wouldn't slack in the creativity department when naming his daughter.

The Carolina Panthers quarterback recently took to Instagram to announce her name: Sovereign-Dior Cambella Newton. Newton and girlfriend Kia Proctor welcomed their new daughter on Feb. 3.

"ëvërÿthįñgGŪ€€į," Newton wrote in his Instagram language. "ŠØVËRË1GN-D1ØR•€ÅMßËŁŁÅ•NË₩TØN #iWmW -1OVE #šhįñëTHRŪthëŠHÅDË #förÅŁŁthëCØNFŪŚ1ØN #HËÅRTbrëâkër."

Newton's son, born on Dec. 24, 2015 is named Chosen Sebastian. The quarterback had surgery Thursday to repair a partially torn rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder. He is expected to be throwing again in three months.

"Head team physician Dr. Pat Connor performed surgery this morning at Carolinas Medical Center to repair Cam Newton's partially torn rotator cuff. Dr. Connor was pleased with the results of the surgery and Cam is at home resting. He will begin his rehab program Monday," Panthers head athletic trainer Ryan Vermillion told the team website.

Newton, 27, was the 2015 NFL MVP and led the Panthers to the Super Bowl during that All-Pro campaign. He signed a six-year, $118.4 million deal with the Panthers in 2015.

"As much as it was one of his worst years, there were other circumstances that we have to correct as well," Panthers coach Ron Rivera told reporters last week. "Not completely revolving around the quarterback."

"I think probably for him, more so than anything else, I think it really is about the guys that are out there on the field with him. He is going to have to rebuild his confidence. He was shook. Let's be honest."
