March 14 (UPI) -- His playing days might be over, but former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson hasn't dipped with his Twitter game.

Johnson was known for his sticky hands and touchdown dances during an 11-year football career. He last played for the New England Patriots in 2011. The two-time All-Pro led the NFL in receiving yards in 2006 and finished his career with 11,059 yards, good for No. 34 all-time.

On Monday, Johnson did something he was also known for during his storied and provocative career: he invited friends to the movies.

Johnson, formerly known as Ochocinco, took to Twitter to announce that he bought out a South Florida movie theatre for the first 200 people to RSVP to an email. He is paying for food and drinks for all of his guests when they watch Life on Thursday, March 16 at Davie, Fla.

The 39-year-old spent Tuesday retweeting excited guests who took screenshots of their RSVP confirmations.
