Los Angeles Chargers re-sign QB Kellen Clemens; Philip Rivers' backup

March 10 The Los Angeles Chargers re-signed backup quarterback Kellen Clemens on Thursday. Clemens reportedly signed a one-year, $1.065 million deal.

The Chargers also announced the re-signing of safety Jahleel Addae and long snapper Mike Windt. Each received four-year deals.

Clemens has served as Philip Rivers' backup for the past three seasons. He has thrown 10 passes, completing six with one touchdown.

The 33-year-old Clemens started 21 games during his 11-year career. He last played a key role in 2013 when he started nine games for the St. Louis Rams.

Clemens spent his first five NFL seasons with the New York Jets before moving on to the Rams for three campaigns.

He has thrown 16 touchdowns against 20 interceptions in 56 NFL games.
