March 9 (UPI) -- The Tennessee Titans released veteran defensive tackle Al Woods on Wednesday.

Woods, who signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract last year, recorded 18 tackles in 12 games with Tennessee in the 2016 season.

The 6-foot-4, 307-pound Woods joined the Titans in 2014 after spending two-plus seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Woods, 29, collected 104 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 81 career games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, Steelers and Titans. He was a fourth-round selection of the New Orleans Saints in the 2010 NFL Draft out of LSU.
