March 8 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Brandon LaFell will spurn interest from the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears by re-signing with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The deal is for two years and has been confirmed by his agents.

The seven-year NFL veteran had 862 yards and six touchdowns last season on 64 receptions. Cincinnati still needs to upgrade its stable of wide receivers after losing both Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones last offseason.

LaFell, 30, was a priority signing for the Bengals. He won a Super Bowl in 2015 with the New England Patriots after spending the first four years of his career for the Carolina Panthers.
