Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce underwent shoulder surgery and is expected to miss time during the team's offseason activities, coach Andy Reid said on Wednesday.

Reid told the Kansas City Star that Kelce "had it cleaned up" but didn't think the 27-year-old would be sidelined for too long.

"No, I don't think so," Reid said, via the newspaper. "He'll probably miss some time throughout the offseason, but he'll be ready, I believe, for camp."

Kelce was listed on the injury report in December with an ailing shoulder, but did not miss a game. He recorded a team-high 85 receptions for 1,125 yards and four touchdowns this season.
