Feb. 27 (UPI) -- There should be an abundance of athletes sporting 2017 adizero 5-star 40 cleats this year at the combine.

Those who wear the cleats will be eligible to win an island.

Repeat: An island.

adidas is offering combine participants a private island if they can beat Chris Johnson's record in the 40-yard dash. Johnson ran a 4.24 in 2008. Last year the apparel brand offered $1 million for the same accomplishment.

"adidas Football today announced that the brand is offering the opportunity to win an island to the pro prospect in Indianapolis who breaks professional football's recognized 40-yard dash record," the company said in a release. "The offer is open to any pro prospect who runs professional football's recognized 40-yard dash in Indianapolis in the 2017 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats later this month and satisfies the eligibility requirements. Full details of the offer and requirements to be eligible are available at www.adidas.com/us/football."

The 2017 adizero 5-star 40's weigh 4.8 pounds. The NFL Draft combine commences on Friday, March 3. More than 300 athletes will participate in the combine. adidas offered an endorsement deal for the accomplishment in 2013, $100,000 in 2014, and it gave $100,000 for the top 3 fastest times in 2015.

You shouldn't miss the athletes who decide to sport the cleats, as they feature a flamboyant cheetah-like pattern. They are currently on sale for $150.

The island must have a maximum value of $1 million, according to adidas.

"If Athlete fails [for any reason] to exclusively wear adidas football footwear and glove products during the 2017-2018 NFL football season [regular and post] or the Endorsement Agreement is terminated [for any reason] by adidas during the first contract year of the Endorsement Agreement, then Athlete will immediately return any amounts received hereunder/transfer the Island to adidas [or other third party] as directed by adidas [all, at no cost to adidas]," the company release says.

Running backs and offensive lineman partake in the combine Friday. Quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends will participate on Saturday. Linebackers and defensive linemen compete on Sunday. Cornerbacks and defensive backs participate on Monday.
