The tackle, listed at 6-foot, 7-inches and 305 pounds, entered the league as an undrafted free agent from Columbia. He joined the Dallas Cowboys before getting waived in late August. He then had stints in 2012 with the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins' practice squads. He joined the Tennessee Titans' practice squad 2013.

The Houston Texans plucked Adams off of waivers in 2014, where he played two seasons at left guard. He spent last season on the Texans' practice squad. Adams has started two games since 2012 and appeared in four total.

Adams missed the bulk of the last two seasons while recovering from patellar tendon surgery.
