The Baltimore Ravens hired veteran assistant Joe D'Alessandris on Thursday to fill their vacant offensive line coach position. D'Alessandris will enter his 40th year of coaching and ninth in the pro ranks, with his last stint as an offensive line coach with the then-San Diego Chargers in 2013-15.

"I feel very privileged and honored to come work with such a tremendous organization," said D'Alessandris, who also worked in the Canadian Football League and the World League in addition to spending time with the Kansas City Chiefs (2008-09) and Buffalo Bills (2010-12).
"I very much look forward to the great opportunity of working for (coach) John Harbaugh and (general manager/executive vice president) Ozzie Newsome on an incredible staff."
Harbaugh was pleased with the choice of D'Alessandris, who replaces Juan Castillo after the latter joined the Bills.
"We had a number of very good, qualified candidates for this position, and we have the right fit with Joe," Harbaugh said. "He's a hard-nosed, experienced coach, who is an excellent teacher. He'll be able to work with our veterans to get the best out of them, and he'll take our young linemen to higher levels."
